CFO Chairperson, Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II, warmly welcomed Dr. Almira Gilles, 2012 PAFIOO Pamana ng Pilipino Awardee, during her visit to the CFO office yesterday, February 6, 2024.

A proud Filipina scholar, researcher, book writer, and publisher based in Chicago, IL, Dr. Gilles has made significant contributions in the fields of anthropology and cultural heritage. She was a former president of several Fil-Am organizations, including a local chapter of a UP Alumni Association, and a researcher at the Chicago Field Museum.

She is currently in the Philippines conducting local cultural research in Batanes.
