𝐂𝐅𝐎 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐀𝐅𝐈𝐎𝐎 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

30 October 2025 — The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), led by Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II, met with Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas (PAFIOO) awardee and Filipino community leader, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 “𝐕𝐞𝐫” 𝐂𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧, together with members of Kapatiran at Ugnayan ng Natatanging Sining at Talento (KUNST) Filipino, a national organization of Filipino artists dedicated to promoting Philippine arts and culture across the globe.

Mr. Cuizon has been a long-time partner of the CFO through various initiatives supporting the Filipino diaspora. His leadership and community work were instrumental in the establishment of the European Network of Filipino Diaspora (ENFiD) in 2012, which united Filipino communities, associations, and organizations across Europe. Over the years, Mr. Cuizon has been recognized multiple times under the Presidential Awards for his outstanding contributions. He received the Banaag Award in 2004, followed by the LINKAPIL (Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino) Award in 2006 for his Filipino organization in Germany, ALAEH e.V., and once again the Banaag Award in 2021 for the achievements of KUNST Filipino.

The meeting focused on areas of cooperation and collaboration between Mr. Cuizon, KUNST Filipino, and the CFO. Secretary Ang expressed his intent for the Commission to continue engaging with PAFIOO awardees and discussed the possibility of Mr. Cuizon and KUNST Filipino conducting master classes for art students across colleges and universities in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

Mr. Cuizon also volunteered to conduct a free art therapy session for CFO employees to help reduce stress, boost morale, and enhance workplace productivity. In addition, he pledged to donate original Rizal artworks as prizes for the upcoming Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) Quiz Bee on the Life, Works, and Writings of Dr. Jose Rizal in December 2025.

Mr. Cuizon was also invited to be featured in an episode of The Chairman’s Report, Secretary Ang’s public affairs program, and to serve as a resource person for the Virtual Sentro Rizal-Educational Series. These initiatives aim to deepen the appreciation of Filipino arts and culture among members of the diaspora and further amplify Mr. Cuizon’s advocacy of sharing and preserving Filipino creativity and heritage worldwide.
